Another Everest reissue from Countdown Media. Although this recording differs from my earlier posts in being made in Houston rather than London, it still offers very short measure.
This performance is blessedly free of Stokowski's characteristic retouching of the score and is really quite fine with excellent playing by the orchestra. However, it doesn't quite match favourites such as Antal Dorati with London Symphony or Fritz Reiner in Chicago.
