On the first CD you hear a copy of one of Mozart's own Walter fortepiano's, including the modifications Walter made later on. The instrument has hand stops (Stossmechanik) and knee levers (Prellmechanik) and Tom Beghin demonstrates the differences, which is a world premiere. Whether you like the very extravert playing of Beghin yes or no, it's an interesting 'document'. I added the well known set of Sonatas, played by Ronald Brautigam; it's one of my favourite boxes. Enjoy!
