Late Romantics in Central Europe # 1

There are two generations of composers in this post and in volume #2, with Brahms and Reger as the main pillars. Dvořák and Bruch are in the older generation but they were still composing in the 20th century as you can see from Rusalka and from the Concerto for clarinet and viola. The best known works here are the piano quintets of Dvořák and Brahms, in good performances not yet appeared in Davide's Summer/Winter series. While if you are looking for a new composer try Vítězslav Novák, it might be interesting.
