Decca 425661-2 (mono: recorded 1953 - Facade; 1954 - orchestral works; this CD release 1990)

(flac and scans)

Recording venues, engineers and producers - not disclosed.

This recording appears to be no longer easily available so is posted here, as much for Sir Adrians very fine recording of both sets of Arnold's English Dances as for the main work. Although, as with the Walton, these are mono recordings, the sound is fine and these are the only recorded performances that I know that rival the composer's own.

The Facade is, of course, the classic recording of the standard work and does not include any of the discarded pieces, later resurrected, but it is also very fine.
