The short-lived reincarnation of the Queen's Hall Orchestra was formed by John Boyden and they played on instruments from the early 20th Century. These Wagner recordings were first released in 1995 on the obscure Eye of the Storm label. That release included two performances of each work from which a selection was made for this Carlton Classics release. Other recordings by the orchestra of music by Holst and Vaughan Williams can also be found here on MIMIC.
