[digital download; flacs, cover, booklet and inlay scans sourced from the Internet]
Recording venue: EMI Abbey Road Studios, London.
Recording engineer: Mark Vigars; Producer: Andrew Keener
Note: The digital download for the Elgar came with a fake cover - a cheap and nasty slip case pretending the recording was by Warner Music/Erato obscuring Virgin's original cover. I could not bring myself to use it in this post but you can see it in the download folder if you really want to. And this has also allowed me to include the original booklet with excellent notes by Michael Kennedy. Of course, nothing of the sort came with the Warner Music reissue. What a terrible way to treat very fine recordings.
