Anybody collecting the music of George Lloyd may be surprised by the considerably more aggressive performance of Royal Parks here than on the later all-Lloyd English Heritage album for Albany made by the Black Dyke Band in 1991. And here, we also have John McCabe's Cloudcatcher Fells - one of the finest works for brass band that I know, but so rarely recorded. Fortunately, this performance is excellent.

And now more George Lloyd, also on the English Heritage album but this time from Grimethorpe and with Major Peter Parkes conducting again but later, in 1998:
