This pioneering recording of many of the settings of A E Housman's A Shropshire Lad poems was made in 1979 and issued as a two LP set. This single CD selection is all that has subsequently been released. I eagerly purchased the LPs when they were first issued but was rather disappointed by Graham Trew's singing. It was interesting to see Ted Perry listed as General Producer - long before he founded Hyperion Records.
