Notes
Symphonic Concerto for Piano and Orchestra in B minor, recorded on Jan 28. 1971
This privately pressed lp was and still is pretty noisy. It's annoying but sometimes it just can't be helped! I have used clickrepair to take out some of the clicks, pops and ticks, but doubtless you'll still hear some. This is a bootleg lp after all and you can definitely hear that it is!
I have in the past normalised my lp rips. I didn't want to do that hear as this music is extremely dynamic and I didn't want to ruin that, therefore it might sound quiet to your ears. I have removed the bit of rumble from my turntable and everything below 40hz.
There is a version of this performance on youtube which has been terribly noise reduced! and has fairly different timings to my rip. One of us is wrong and if it's me I'd be grateful to know! Please tell me if you find anything wrong with this rip, but please keep in mind I am totally blind so propper covers are not really an option, those that are provided came from Discogs.
equipment:
Goldring lenco gl75 turntable, goldring g800E cartridge, recorded using Audacity and an ivinyl usb phono preamp.
