In celebration of Leonard Bernstein's hundredth birthday year and Bastille Day, here are two 1977 performances which complement Appasionato's posting of "Bernstein conducts Berlioz" from 2/18/2017 (http://meetinginmusic.blogspot.com/2017/02/bernstein-conducts-berlioz.html).  The earlier post featured Bernstein's 1960s performances of these two iconic Berlioz works, and here we have LB returning to them a decade later, this time with a French orchestra... an opportunity to compare and contrast.

The audio chain I use to rip LPs: (1) the LPs are cleaned using a VPI H!-16 record cleaning machine, using TTVJ Vinyl-Zyme Gold cleaning fluid, (2) ripped on a Nakamichi Dragon CT self-centering turntable with integral tonearm and Ortofon cartridge, (3) processed by a Korg DS-DAC-10R (RIAA setting), (4) then recorded and edited using AudioGate 4, Adobe Audition (and rarely iZotope RX) software.
