This Twofer compilation is made up of most of the contents of a Bach and Handel Arias disc (DE3026), the Villa-Lobos from DE3041 and the complete Love Songs disc (DE3029).
The American lyric soprano Arlene Auger died tragically young (in 1993 at the age of 53) and remains one of my favourite singers. This compilation offers a generous representation of her beautiful voice - the second disc in particular offering a delightful collection of art songs.
